Simulation Environment: MVASpike

Note: this list includes both models hosted here at ModelDB and models where have metadata and link to the sourcecode somewhere else. These may also be viewed separately; see the browse by simulator page.

MVASpike is a general purpose C++ library aimed at modeling and simulating large, complex networks of biological neural networks. It is based on an event-based modeling and simulation strategy, targeting mainly pulse-coupled, spiking neural networks (e.g. integrate-and-fire neurons). We aim at achieving a good balance between simulation efficiency and modeling freedom (complexity of models, extensibility, integration with other tools...).
