Cerebellar-thalamo-cortical brain network for sensorimotor communication (Romano et al., in press)

A mass-model, large-scale network of the interactions between cerebellum, thalamus and neocortex in the mouse during active whisking. The model successfully predicts the correlation lags hinting at directional interactions pre- and post-whisker movement, as well as the results of multiple optogenetic inactivations.

Experimental motivation: This model supports the framework of neocortical areas feeding information about movement plans to the cerebellum, which then drives corrections in movement via neocortex.
